What is FamilyProject

FamilyProject is the program designed by Eurofins Genoma that accompanies future parents in every stage of conception and pregnancy, from the desire to expand their family to the birth of a child.

The project stems from the desire to be a supportive figure for future parents in what will be the most exciting journey of their lives, but one that often presents unexpected difficulties and complications.

FamilyProject consists of 5 phases, one for each fundamental step of the path leading to the birth of a new life and for any possible difficulties in conception:

1. We would like to have a child

2. We are trying to have a child, but without success

3. We cannot have children and want to choose assisted fertilization

4. We are expecting a baby

5. We have just had a baby

Each phase recommends specific genetic tests for both or only one of the parents, with the sole purpose of ensuring a serene and risk-free pregnancy.

The first three phases focus on the study of fertility, the discovery of genetically transmissible diseases, and, if necessary, the goal of not transmitting them to one’s children: for a more conscious and risk-free family planning.

The last two phases allow for careful monitoring of the health of the pregnant woman and the fetus, with prenatal and postnatal analyses: exhaustive information and patient attention that guarantee constant support and increasingly accurate diagnoses.
